I was cruising blogs and came across Jenny's blog Beautifully Strange and she mentioned seeing a report that left handed people are "at twice the risk of developing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) like Crohn's disease."
I found the news article for this information here on FindArticles and they really did do a study on this. This is really interesting to me because I am a lefty with Crohn's.
According to the article:
One hypothesis suggests that testosterone exposure in utero may alter
the left cerebral hemisphere and thymus growth, resulting in an
association between left-handedness and T-cell-dependent immune
disorders.
