You know I think people who have stuff wrong with us have a great benefit. When we have a good day we appreciate it. And you know what, EVERYONE is going to get old someday if they are lucky enough. And getting old pretty much seems like some of the same stuff a lot of us deal with. Stuff hurts, can't do as much, forget stuff... So we are already prepared and are going to be the BEST old ladies and gents anywhere.

House: Be Not Afraid!
Even if you don’t watch House, you can probably appreciate the idea of Robert Sean Leonard’s Dr. Wilson in a Z-grade porno flick called “Feral Pleasures.” His college roommate was a film major, he was just helping him out, the naked scenes weren’t really him, blah blah blah yeah whatever, Wilson. YOU KNOW YOUR TOUCH RELEASED THE PAGAN FANTASY IN A LOVER’S SOUL.

Last week's episode of House completely cracked me up. First of all, the episode is about a blogger, and my husband enjoyed teasing me about all the goofy stuff she and her friends were doing. (Like her friend visits her in the hospital and she says "I'm blogging" and the friends says "I'm reading her blog.") Too funny.
I had to swear to hubby that I do not blog about stuff he says or anything we ever fight about.
But the funniest part of the show was how House discovers that Wilson was in a porno movie in college. So freakin funny because he is running around in antlers and some of the lines from the movie are just classic - "Be Not Afraid!"

Prozac Kitty - Just Gotta Laugh
Whenever I am having a rough day, I find that those silly LOLCats can always cheer me up. Me and my teenage niece have this in common.
I once read an essay that was deconstructing the LOL Cats and how they are really an example of schadenfreude. (laughing at other people when they are down, really) I don't think that's all it is, though. To me they represent the ability to express human pathos in the guise of cute or funny animals. Like cartoons, the LOL Cats are allowed to say things we might not feel comfortable saying about human beings. But they're animals so it's safe. So we can enjoy the pathos and the humor. Plus LOL Speak is just hilarious. We take the butchering of English to the extreme but it's ok - cause its just kitties, right. No pressure. Just funny.

So That's Where I Parked My Helicopter
Seen from the doctor's office parking deck, which is in a medical center next to the hospital. Don't even ask me about the part where I had to pay the $3.00 parking fee on the way IN the parking garage, and I did not have any cash. Suffice to say I got a little bit teary and the guy let me go park and then go in and use the ATM to pay him. Thanks, parking lot attendant dude.
